Objective:The purpose is using analytic hierarchy process method to evaluate the importance ofhospital performance indicators, and using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluatethe hospital performance. We mainly discuss the application of fuzzy comprehensive evaluationin the hospital performance evaluation, and provide a reasonable method of performanceevaluation for hospitals and a reference for the health administrative departments in thesupervision of hospital performance.Methods:1.Literature and Expert Interviews: select the heavily weighted indexes through searchinga large number of documents, and apply expert interviews combining the actual situation of thehospital, to select the final performance indicators for hospital.2.AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP), to calculate the index weight.3.Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation: It is a comprehensive evaluation method to assess theweight of hospital performance evaluation based on the AHP Method, and to do fuzzyevaluation at all levels, and to evaluate the sub-indicators for hospital.4.Weighted composite index method: combined with the actual performance situation ofthe hospital, the hospital performance was evaluated by the weighted composite index method,to verify that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation result can reflect the actual situation of thehospital.Results:1.Weight distribution: The quality of medical care has the biggest weight (0.3860) incriteria layer, followed by health care efficiency, health benefits, hospital development potential, patient satisfaction; in index layer, the average length of stay in hospital has the maximumweight (0.1094), followed by the improved cure rate, survival rate in critically ill patients, infection rate in hospital.2.The hospital performance of the A hospital is better than that in the B hospital.Performance evaluation of the A hospital is "better", its general score is 6.6124, its performanceObjective:The purpose is using analytic hierarchy process method to evaluate the importance ofhospital performance indicators, and using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluatethe hospital performance. The resultsof the both methods were the same, indicating that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation iseffective in the hospital performance evaluation.ConclusionsConclusions:The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation can objectively reflect the performance level of thehospital, the results will enable hospital managers to understand the internal performance of thehospital and the management effectiveness, and to understand how the hospital operating duringa period. It also can objectively reflect how the hospital performance of the managers in thelevel of understanding and mastering, and to provide a direction and scientific basis todevelopment and strategic planning for hospitals. Health administrative departments also usethis method to compare the same level hospital. It is advantageous for the supervision andmanagement of the hospital.
