| This dissertation is composed of two mainly parts, the first part was the investigation on the chemical constituents of Chinese Traditional medicinal plant Elsholtiza bodinieri and the volatile oil components of E.bodinieri and E.rugulosa by GC-MS, and the second is the chemotaxonomy of the genus Elsholtzia based on hierarchical cluster analysis.By means of chromatographic methods (silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, RP-18 column, MCI column et al) and spectroscopic evidences (1H NMR,13C NMR, HSQC, HMBC, HMQC-TOCSY),18 compounds were isolated and identified from E. bodinieri, including triterpenes, flavonoids, sesquiterpenes and steroids. Among them, two compounds were new triterpene glycosides and named as bodiniosides D (1) and E (2). In addition, 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-3,23-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic-28-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranyranosyl (3); 3,19,23-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic-28-O-β-D-gluco-pyranyranosyl (4) 3,19,23-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic-28-O-β-D-glucopyranyr anosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranyranosyl (5),6β-isopropyl-4a,8a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a, and 5,6,7,8,8α-decahydron aphthaylene-1β,4β,5β-triol (10) were obtained from this plant for the first time. The constituents of the essential oil from E. bodinieri and E. rugulosa were studied by means of GC-MS. The results showed that the constituents and contents of two species were obviously different, and the main constituents were monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes, whose skeletons were similar. Compared with the volatile oil components of the genus Elsholtzia of which the constituents of the essential oil have been reported, the species could be divided into three clusters, that is, the type of Elsholizia ketone, the type of Ciucole and the type of simple Hydrocaron. |
