| ObjectiveObserve the change of WI indicators between the case group and control group in order to understand whether their left ventricular systolic function have changed; To investigate the clinical application value of wave intensity (WI) technique in assessing the systolic function of left ventricle in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Material and Method40 patients diagnosed with coronary heart disease by coronary angiography and 20 healthy volunteers were enrolled in the study, All CHD patients were divided into the CHD1 group 25 cases(LVEF>50%) and CHD2 group 15 cases(LVEF<50%) by their left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF). Left ventricular diameters and volumes in end systole and in end diastole(LVEDd,LVEDs,LVEDV,LVESV)were measured through M-mode echocardiograhy(ME), then calculated left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The magnitude of W1, and the length of R-W1 interval as well as W1-W2 interval of left carotid artery were recorded by WI technique which underlaying echo-tracking(ET) at the same time, those parameters of left ventricular systolic function of all subjects were studied to observe the differences existed in the 2 groups and assess their systolic function of left ventricle.Results1. The difference between each group of age, gender, heart rate and blood pressure was not statistically significant(P>0.05);2. The difference between normal control group and CHD1 group of LVEDd,LVEDs, LVEDV,LVESVand LVEF was not statistically significant(P>0.05); Compared with normal control group and CHD1 group, left ventricular diameter and volume(LVEDd,LVEDs,LVEDV, LVESV)was bigger(P<0.05) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was lower(P<0.05) in CHD2 group;3. Compared with normal control group,W1 was lower(P<0.05) and W1-W2 interval was shorter(P<0.05) in CHD groups, while R-W1 interval was longer(P<0.05). Among CHD two groups, the patients of CHD2 group had lower W1 than those of CHD1 group (P<0.05). Conclusion1. Wave Intensity technique provides a new ultrasonic method of assessing the systolic function of left ventricle;2. Wave Intensity technique can rapidly assess the left ventricular systolic function of CHD patients, compared with M-mode echocardiograhy,it can discover the change of left ventricular ejection fraction earlier. |
