The Study On The Effect Of Clearing Heat And Expelling Dampness' On Quality Of Life In Cases With Migraine

Objective: The health survey questionnaires of SF-36 (Chinese version) in order to verify the quality of life in migraine patients decline, compared with healthy population. By applying clearing heat and expelling dampness, toufeng soup treating on migraine headaches, and observing clinical efficacy and quality of life improvements, we can broaden the medical treatment of migraine in new ideas and methods. Methods:60 cases of standard cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group where each has 30 cases, and also select the same 60 healthy people. Patient and healthy people groups were completed SF-36. Treatment group to the toufeng tang. Flunarizine capsule were given to the control group 10mg once a day. Both groups were evaluated after 8 weeks ,by headache index, MSQOL, clinical effect. Results: The clinical effect of the treatment group was 96.67%, 93.33% in control group, the treatment group was better than the control group (R—treatment = 0.4003, R—control = 0.6329); MSQOL of the treatment group was higher than the control group, Headache index was significantly reduced. Conclusion:The toufeng tang with the effect of clearing heat and expelling dampness can significantly reduce headache index, improve patient quality of life.The method of clearing heat and expelling dampness has evident effect in curing migraine...
