| Objective:It was to observe the expression and clinical significances of Tenascin(TN) and nuclear-associated antigen ki-67(Ki-67) in epithelial ovarian tumors and its correlation.Method:The expression levels of TN and ki-67 of 12 patients with normal ovarian tissue,16 patients with benign ovarian tumors,47patients with epithelial ovarian carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemical method.The data was analyzed with SPSS 14.0 software package for non-parametric analysis (Kruskal-Wallis H test,Mann-Whitney U test,Spearman rank correlation analysis).Results:The positive expression rate of TN was 16.67%(2/12) in normal ovarian tissue,56.25%(9/16) in benign ovarian tumors,82.98% (39/47) in epithelial ovarian carcinoma respectively,there existed significant difference in three groups (P<0.05).The expression of TN was correlated with clinical stage and different degree,but it was not closely related to tissue type and ages. The positive expression rate of Ki-67 was 0%(0/12) in normal ovarian tissue,25%(4/16) in benign ovarian tumors, 93.62%(44/47) in epithelial ovarian carcinoma respectively,there existed significant difference in three groups (P<0.05).The expression of Ki-67was correlated with clinical stage and different degree,but it was not closely related to tissue type and ages. The expression levels of TN was positive correlated with Ki-67 in ovarian carcinoma(r=0.035, P=0.021), and have statistical sense.Conchusion:1.The increased expression of TN in ovarian tissue may stimulate the development of ovarian carcinoma,and was strongly correlated with the invasion,metastasis and cell proliferation of the carcinoma.2. The increased expression of ki-67 may be strongly related with the development of ovarian carcinoma, could be helpful in judging the cellular malignancy degree and clinical stage of ovarian carcinoma.3. The expression levels of TN was positive correlated with ki-67 in ovarian carcinoma,it suggested ki-67 may be coordinated with TN in the development of ovarian carcinoma.
