Objective:The purpose of our experiment is to study the protective effect of sevoflurane preconditioning and postconditioning on infrarenal aorto ischemia-reperfusion induced myocardial injury in rat.Method:Heathy SD rats grouped in 4 group randomly,each of the group have 10 rats.Group one (Sham);Group two (I/R), ischemia by clamping of the infrarenal aorta for 2h followed by 3h of reperfusion.Group three (I/R+pre),2.0% sevoflurane administered over 30 min prior to ischemia; Group four (I/R+post),2.0% sevoflurane during reperfusion. At the end of the experiment, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA) were measured, in addition to histological examination of the myocardium in each group. Results:SOD of the group I/R+pre and I/R+post teams were remarkably higher than the group Sham or I/R (P<0.01), the group I/R+post was higher than the group I/R+pre; MDA of the group I/R+pre and I/R+post teams were less than the groupI/R (P<0.05), the group I/R+post was remarkably less than the group I/R+pre (P<0.01), the group I/R was remarkably higher than the group Sham (P<0.01); LDH of the group I/R,I/R+pre and I/R+post were remarkably higher than the group Sham (P<0.01), but the group I/R+post and I/R+pre were remarkably less than the group I/R(P<0.01), the group I/R+post was remarkably less than the group I/R+pre (P<0.01); Histological test result:the group Sham was almost normal, the group I/R was damaged most badly, the group I/R+pre was damaged more badly than the group I/R+post.Conclusion: infrarenal aorto ischemia-reperfusion induces myocardial injury in rat ;Sevoflurane preconditioning and postconditioning has a protective effect on infrarenal aorto ischemia-reperfusion induced myocardial injury in rat,especially,the protective effect of postconditioning is more obvious. The protective effects maybe related to that:inhibiting lipid peroxide reaction, increasing the antioxidant capacity of organism, and maintaining the relative stability of the myocardial ultrastructure.
