Objective:To appraise the risk factors of ankle brachial index (ABI) in Type 2 diabetes and investigate the relationship between ankle-branchial index (ABI) and Diabetes complications. Methods:Selecting 269 hospitalized patients in the Department of Endorcrine of The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xin jiang Medical University from January 2008 to June 2008.rAccording to the level of ABI, these paitients were divided into two groups. All the data were processed by SPSS13.0 for windows, The measurement data were expressed by mean standarad deviation and the group comparison was performed by Analysis of variance. The relationship of ABI with risk factors was analyzed by multivariate Logistic. Results:The difference between cigrate, age and blood press in two group.Abnormal ABI were relatived with age, BMI and smoking. In low ABI group, the Prevalence of cerebral infarction, coronary artery disease, dibetic peripheral neuropathy and diabetic retionopathy were all the highest. Conclusion:Abnormal ABI was positively correlated with increase age, obesity, smoking; Low ABI had estimation value in dibetes chronicity complication.
