The Kashin-Beck disease is an endemic disease which can cause a great harm.It usually takes place among the young people,but in recent years,it was also found in the grown person,especiall in the middle-aged people.The pathology of the Kashin-Beck disease is the deformation and putrescence of the cartilage in joint and epiphyseal plate.The resulet of the Kashin-Beck disease is the thicken and pain of joint and furthermore,the nanosoma the deformation and physical disability.It would extremely effect the person's life.In the area of high incidence,the local economy and production were destroyed.So it brings the poverty.The mechanise of the Kashin-Beck disease was not fully solved.Many researchers from worldwide institutions carried out a lot of studies and experiments.So far,there were three main theories that may cause the disease.First,the disase might cause by fusarium toxin which bring harm to the cartilage by entering the human body with the food.Second,the quantity of humic acid in the drinking water was high.The humic acid would obstruct the grown and development of the skeleton by destroy the cell of cartilage.Third,in the view of biogeochemistry,the quantity of microelement such as selenium fluorine and manganese that essential and necessary to human was either more or less.These element would effect the immunity of human.So they indirectly impel the disease.But these theories were not fully and completely surported by the experiments.With the development of science technology and theory,this problem could be solved finally.This analysis by synthesis based on the investigation and conclude the following:1 the content of FA and F is higher in the inpatient area,and the relation among them is very closer;2 the content of Mn in the rock soil and water of the inpatient area is very low,concerning the function of Mn in the human body,the Mn may play a very important role.3 the relation between the Se and the kashin-beck disease is not clear.It need to examine the content in the food and soil then the conclusion can be given.In a word ,according to this investigation and research,it can be said that the high FA F and low Mn is the key to the Kashin-Beck Disease,the relative measuer can be implement to prevent this disease,meanwhile,the food was not examed in this investigation,so the theory of the fusariun toxin was not proved.the relation between the Se and the Kashin-Beck Disease was not clear.It also need to exam the content in the rock and soil then the result would be given. entironment and composition of drink and food.This investigation also comprise a contrast between inpatient area and non-inpatient area.Simultaneously,the typical patients and their families were surveyed.The drinking water samples of this area were taken and detected especially the humic acid selenium fluorie and manganese.The relationship between this microelement and the Kashin-Beck disease was the main concern.The purpose of the investigation was to provide the foundation for the further research. It is very important to solve this mechanism.It can help local people to improve their living and it also can help the development of local culture and economy.Before this problem solved,moving the people the another place exchanging the food and improve the drinking water can prevent this disease.Through these measures,the situation would be better.The finally solution would be carried out until the mechanism solved.
