The Initial Exploration On Regularity Of TCM Syndrome Distribution In Cough Variant Asthma For Children Based On Clinical Research

Objective:Explore and summarize the common category and law of the distribution of TCM syndrome in cough variant asthma for children. It is hoped that the study will provide bases to formulate and optimize the scientific dialectical criteria for TCM disease program of the CVA.Content and Methods:Summary of modern medicine on CVA research, affiliation of TCM in disease, pathogenesis, distribution of symptom, the progress of syndrome research and so on.According to a retrospective study of literature and in conjunction with the research study of the epidemiological investigations, through literature review and the method of the information correction of inquisition feedback, the table of the syndrome of TCM observation is designed and formed about children with cough variant asthma. The information of four physical examinations is collected from the 120 cases of CVA for children, besides the tables are filled up by the investigator. The database is established by using the SPSS 11.5 statistical package. We sum up the basic syndrome of CVA for children based on systematic cluster analysis, evaluate the contribution of each symptom to the syndrome based on principal component analysis.Results and conclusion:By investigating symptom, pip and pulse condition distribution of 120 cases CVA patients, we find that they mainly show sthenia syndrome, followed by asthenia syndrome. Disease is located in the lung, and liver, spleen-related. The wind evil plays a key role in the occurrence and the development of the CVA. Analyzing the most frequency clinical index which is greater than 10.0%, it can be mainly divided into 4 categories:Cough due to wind and cold, Cough due to wind and heat-phlegm, Cough due to liver heat and Cough due to qi and yin deficiency. The 4 categories of syndrome characteristics basically conform to clinical distribution.Cluster analysis and principal component analysis are effective means to classification of elementary syndrome of TCM, and will make it possible to transfer from qualitative study to quantitative study. At present, it is significant practically to carry out multi-center and large sample epidemiological study TCM syndrome about CVA for children.
