| Objective:The goal of this clinical experiment is to probe the mechanism and therapeutic effect of traditional manipulations on treating persistent or chronic diarrhea in children. In order to provide the scientific basis for its clinic application.Methods:60 patients fitting for persistent or chronic diarrhea criterion were randomly divided into 2 groups. Each group is 30 cases. On the base the observing group took traditional manipulations, the control group maintain therapy according with normal medical remedy and did not massage. The course of treatment is 6 days and observe 1 course continuously. Before and after experiment, we assayed the children's intestinal secretory immunoglobulin (slgA) and serum immunoglobulin (IgA,IgM,IgG),recorded the change of patient's clinical symptoms and signs.And 20 childrens for normal physical examination were acted as healthy group, also assayed their intestinal secretory immunoglobulin (sIgA)and serum immunoglobulin (IgA,IgM,IgG)Results:(1) The observing group and control group is superior to healthy group at the level of sIgA,IgA,IgM,IgG. (P<0.01), which showed that the sicked infants mucosal immunity and humoral immune function was significantly lower than normal children (2) The total effective rate of the observing group was 90.0%, higher than the control group 73.3%, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). (3) The effective rate of the observing group in the deficiency of spleen and stomach type was 95.7%, higher than the control group 80.0%, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05),and in the Yang-deficiency of spleen and kidney the observing group was 71.4%, higher than the control group 60.0%.There were not effective conclusions in other types,because there were not enough cases.(4) After threatment the two groups is superior to before, increasing sIgA and IgA,IgM,IgG(P<0.01). which indicated that both groups significantly increase immune function after threatment (5) The observing group is superior to control group at immune function, increasing sIgA and IgA,IgG.. Its effect was better than control group (P<0.05). (6) There was no significant difference in the level of IgM between both groups after treatments (P>0.05), mabye because there were not enough cases and not enough times for observing.(7) There was significant difference in total scores improving the symptoms between before and behind treatments of the two groups(P<0.05). the therapeutic group had better effect than the control group such as stool frequency, stool character, diet.which indicated that traditional manipulations were able to improve the symptoms. Conclusion:After clinical observation, we find traditional manipulations had good effect on the deficiency of spleen and stomach type,it can improve the symptoms and signs. And it can increase the level of sIgA and IgA,IgG., which showed that improving the children's mucosal and humoral immune function may as its approach for threatment of children persistent or chronic diarrhea. |
