Children's emotional display rules cognition is an important part of children's emotional cognition development, and it also plays an important role on development of children's social ability. The research on the development of children's characteristics and its relationship with peer acceptance plays an important role in promoting children's social adjustment and improving the ability of children's peer interaction.Emotional display rules cognition was mainly classified as three components: emotion regulation knowledge, emotion regulation goals and emotion regulation strategies. Emotion regulation knowledge represents the discrepancy between the character's internal feeling and external emotional expression; Emotion regulation goals refer to children's developmental trends in the articulation of goal, there are two kinds of goals: social orientation goal and self-protect goal; Emotion regulation strategy mean what kind of strategy children choose to follow their emotional display rules, and there are four kinds of strategies: neutralization, masking, minimization and maximization. In this study, 127 participants were selected from 9-11 aged children. In research 1, we examined the cognitive development of children's emotional display rules cognition in different grade, gender and emotion situation by interviewing children one by one. Based on the results of research 1.The relationship of children's emotional display rules cognition and peer acceptance was analyzed in research 2.The major findings in this study are follows:1. The level of children's display rules knowledge increased with age. 10 to 11 years old children's level of emotion regulation increased more rapidly than 9 years old children.2. 9-11 year-old children tend to use social orientation goal as the target rules to guide their emotion expression. Social orientation goal between 10 to 11 years old increased more rapidly.3. The order of frequency of emotion regulation strategies children use is: masking, neutralization minimization and maximization. Children of 10 to 11-year-old use more neutralization strategies than 9-year-old children. The using frequency of minimization strategies decreased with age. Children use more neutralization strategies and masking strategies minimization in positive emotional situation than in negative situation, but the using frequency of maximization strategies is on the contrast.4. Children's emotion rule knowledge, social orientation goal and masking strategy are positively related to children's peer acceptance.5. The level of children's social orientation goal can positively predict children's peer acceptance.
