A Study Of "X Shi X, (P)" Pattern

This thesis focuses on the study of"X shi X,(P)"pattern,within the problem of"X shi X"and related research.It consists of three parts:the intrduction, the main part,and the conclusion.Chapter First is the introduction, introducing the background knowledge of the study of the pattern.The main part includes three chapters,referring to syntactic ,semantic, pragmatic and structure comparison. Chapter Two analyses the syntactic and semantic of"X shi X,(P)"pattern. It describes the elements and syntactic function of single-X shi X.Then, it summarizes the semantic of"X shi X,(P)"pattern.Chapter Three studies the pragmatic of"X shi X,(P)"pattern.First,it focuses on the context of single-X shi X,discussing the relationship of single-X shi X with the first sentence of the above and the following sentence,and analyses the tendentiousness of evaluation of single-X shi X.Finally,it proves that single-X shi X is a topic stuctrue.Chapter Four compares"X shi X"with other related patterns,finding out similarities and differences of them.Chapter Five the conclusion of the thesis.It draws a conclusion and raises the further study directions.
