Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) is a kind of new method of teaching languages which started in the 80 years of 20th century, and developed gradually recently. This kind of foreign language teaching approach has been widely used by language teaching profession all over the world. This teaching approach helps students in promoting the process of acquisition of foreign language, as well as in learning initiatively. Using TBLT in language skills training courses has been creating an innovation place of research for foreign language teachers and researchers. In Vietnam, Chinese teaching profession, especially in the intermediate stage, because of many objective conditions, TBLT has not been used in Chinese language teaching skills training sessions.This study consists of five parts:Partâ… is the introduction, describes domestic and international research status of TBLT, present the content, purpose, methods of research and so on. Partâ…¡summarizes the theories of TBLT and designing task activities in Intermediate Oral Chinese Class. Author stood on designing task activities for Intermediate Oral Chinese Class perspective, describes the theoretical basis, characteristics and operation of TBLT, as well as the characteristics, the type and design principles of task activities. The third part inquire into the circumstances of Intermediate Oral Chinese Class at Vietnam Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages Department of Chinese, to analyze the feasibility of using TBLT and predict possible problems. In the fourth section, base on the analysis of oral practice in Oral Chinese textbooks, define the importance of designing task activities in Oral Chinese class. In this section, author designed tasks outline as well as an unit specific design for the "Bridge-Practical Intermediate Chinese Course". The fifth part display the contents of the feedback of TBLT with author's reflection.The designed results of this study include:first, the tasks outline for 15 units of textbook "Bridge-Practical Intermediate Chinese Course"; second, the specific design task for 3rd module "The two girls in my memory" of textbook "Bridge-Practical Intermediate Chinese Course"This can be regarded as the first study of praticing TBLT in Chinese teaching profession in Vietnam. The difference between this research with previous studies is that this research is designed for a traditional comprehensive textbook, not for a communicative teaching materials. In addition, the design of tasks in this study direct to the personality and learning Chinese style of Vietnamese students.
