The Study On The Practical Process And Basic Experience Of Cpc Cultural Construction Since The Reform And Opening Up

Culture has a wide range of meanings. Generally speaking, the wide sense of culture indicates the sum of material and spiritual fortune that human beings create in reforming nature and society. The narrow sense of culture is the spiritual creation focusing on mankind and its results. Logically the narrow sense of culture is subject to its wide sense, and the former is equal to the deep structure, the spiritual level, of the latter. Instead of studying general culture problems, this article probes into a series of problems that Communist Party of China (CPC) has encountered in the socialist ideologies of cultural construction rather than economic or political development since reform and opening-up. This article, therefore, focuses on the narrow sense of culture. The author of this article has summarized several basic experience of cultural construction by stating the theoretical origins of CPC cultural construction and explaining CPC cultural construction since reform and opening-up.Today culture, economy, politics and society are melting each other. The status and effects of cultural power has become increasingly outstanding in the competition in overall national strength and is deeply rooted in the vitality, creativity and cohesion of a nation. During CPC striving history of over 80 years, it emphasizes greatly the cultural construction. CPC has always represented the orientation of advanced Chinese culture and endeavored to build and promote the new culture that revolution, development and reform require. We not only have achieved great success in cultural construction, but also have been consistently deepening the knowledge of cultural construction law. This article intends to exert a certain promoting effects on the cultural construction of contemporary China by studying the practical process of CPC cultural construction.This article is divided into four parts so as to probe into the practical process and basic experience of CPC cultural construction since the reform and opening up.Part one is the literature review, which states the purpose and meaning of choosing this thesis. Current study situation at both home and abroad, researching methods, its focuses and difficulties are also explained.Part two mainly expounds the historical background of CPC cultural construction. This part tracks the theoretical origins of CPC cultural construction, respectively reviewing culture, Marxism cultural outlook and Lenin and Stalin's ideologies on cultural construction. And it also states the cultural construction ideologies of New China before reform and opening-up, which focuses on Mao Zedong's ideologies of socialist cultural construction and summarizes the primary experience of his ideologies of socialist cultural construction.Part three mainly states the practical process of CPC cultural construction since reform and opening-up. This part respectively explains spiritual civilization represented by Deng Xiaoping, theories of socialist culture construction with Chinese characteristics represented by Jiang Zeming, and harmonious culture construction of the Party Central Committee led by General Secretary Hu Jintao. This explanation lays the basis for further analyzing their ideologies.Part four mainly probes into the basic experience of CPC cultural construction since reform and opening-up. This part introduces some basic experience of CPC cultural construction by comparing and analyzing ideologies of CPC cultural construction. The following is the basic experience: CPC cultural construction must be guided by Marxism ideology and led by CPC; the cultural construction must be conducted in the condition of opening up to the whole world so that the cosmopolitan culture and the united nation can be realized; CPC cultural construction must insisted on cultural system innovation; and CPC cultural construction must actively develop cultural undertakings and industry.
