The Relationship Between The Typical Character Of Comic And The Growth Of Teenagers

Comic is a book of combination of words and images. Each comic transmits different kind of messages. On the other hand, cartoonists can make different types of characters in order to reveal their value of the society such as virtuous, righteous, bravery, violent and erotic etc. Comic and novel share the similar part. That is they both have characters plot, climax and structure. It can be analyzed with literature and cultural theory. Every time when teenagers committed serious crime, the society must blame the cartoonists that they overwrite on the violence of the comics and that lead the teenagers to the wrong way. Is it right that the cartoonists have to be blamed on that? On the other hand, the readers of the demand of comics are increasing. The comic characters are only appearing on the paper. The cartoonists can make up their appearance, overall figures, abilities, intelligent, personalities and what they are going to encounter. Why the teenagers accept a character that is only made up by someone? Nowadays what kind of character does the teenagers like? In this research, I have used the questionnaire, analysis and compare the differences between the comics of Japan and Hong Kong. Last of all, I have use the culture, literature and educational theory to prove the point at issue. According to the analysis, the researchers found out that different types of comics reveal different kinds of value of the society and morality. As the research is focus on 搕eenagers comics? the typical characters are falling 2 into two types. First, they are idealism. Second, they are heroism. The first ones are they tiy to win and never say 搉o~~. They will encourage and help other people. Their value is to combine everyone?s power in order to finish their goal. The second ones are faithful and patriotic. They like to help the weak and confront with the bad guys. Their value is justice and righteous. The form of comics: the comic characters reveal righteous, honest, self-image, focus on sense of justice, seek for the pleasant sensation of the speed, and talk about the love.
