A Research On "Bendihua" Of Dong Autonomous Of Tongdao In Hunan

So far, there are many languages (or dialects) which we have not systematically investigated and fully researched in China. We have no clear ideas of their characteristics and their relationships with their neighbors. Bendihua, a language in Dong Autonomous County of Tongdao, is such a case. The thesis mainly supplies language facts and language materials. On the basis of fully investigations, applying systematic and comparative approaches, it has descriptions of Bendihua' s inner differences, its phonetic system and the relations with its neighbors.First, we have an introduction of the meaning of the research topic and the approaches applied.In Part One, we introduce the geographic distribution of Bendiren and the inner differences of Bendihua, pointing out that Bendihua should be divided into two typesæ¡žendihan and Bendidong.In Part Two, we describe respectively the initial, final and pitch system of Bendihua and its phonetic characteristics. By comparing Bendihua and Guibeipinghua, we draw a conclusion that they have very close relationships.In Part Three, we introduce the initial, final and pitch system of Bendidong and find out that it is actually a branch of Dong(Kam)language. What' s more, we discuss the tight relationship between Bendihan and Bendidong in the form of tables.In Part Four, supplying some anthropological materials, we have an inference about the formation of Bendiren and Bendihua.The final part makes a conclusion of the whole essay.
