A Study Of Xuzhou Urban District's Dialect

This paper's research object is the dialect of Xuzhou urban district-the author's mother tongue. The difference from other researches of that is, this paper wants to start with the change of Xuzhou dialect, trying to describe and analize the changing Xuzhou dialect, to show the changing progress and find out the sociolinguistics foundation for the change, and to have a relatively exact reflection of today's Xuzhou dialect.The first chapter describes the phonetic system, and arranges the words in the same syllable, at the same time introduces some characteristic vocabularies(mostly the single-syllable vocabularies)as far as possible, then analizes the phonetic changes in initials, finials and tones; the second chapter divides the often-used words into three parts by investigations, then analizes the cause of the change; the third chapter makes a complement to the grammar which other researchers haven't spoken of; in the end, the paper talks about the author' elementary idea on the relationship between dialect's research and Putonghua's use. With the development of our society, this question will be put on more eyes.
