People have focused their attention on the application of English, primarily owing to the trend of more chances of global communication and cooperation in all kinds of areas. So it is very important for people to master professional English knowledge and have the abilities of its application. In order to improve the students' quality, bilingual teaching and bilingual courses are given in many schools in our country.It is a little late that bilingual teaching starts in our country. There are a lot of bilingual teaching experience and bilingual teaching models in other countries. But we cannot use their models in the same way because bilingual teaching in our country is very different from theirs. We must work out appropriate models and strategies for our bilingual teaching.In this paper, we intend to develop excellent strategies for bilingual teaching. The paper focuses the situated cognition theory, then works out some kinds of useful bilingual strategies. There are three strategies in this paper: the strategies for anchored learning, the strategies for task-based learning and the strategies for suggestopedia.This paper consists five parts:The first part introduces the background of bilingual teaching in our country and the situation of the bilingual research in our country and in other countries.The second part includes the concerned concepts of bilingual teaching and some shortcomings in our bilingual teaching.In the third part, we introduce the origin, the content and the characteristics of the situated cognition theory.The fourth part is the most important part of the paper. The efforts are made in the practical bilingual strategies according to the situated cognition theory. There are 3 kinds of bilingual teaching strategies: the strategies for anchored learning, the strategies for task-based learning and the strategies for suggestopedia.The fifth part is the conclusion. We summarize this dissertation and address its future development and limitation.
