Postmodernism sprang up during the 1950s and 1960s and produced indelible influence on all aspects of western society. Postmodernism can even be regarded as a sentiment, a context and a state of mind. Surrounded by postmodernism, Grillet believed in uncertain realism and became a moderate and optimistic postmodernist. He proposed a new and original theory. Grillet held that Balzac's novel reflected the stable and orderly bourgeois when they were on the rising trend, as a result, Balzac's theory was an anachronistic myth. Grillet's critique on Balzac's theory focused on Balzac's "Theory of System" and "Theory of depicting human beings". Phenomenology spread out widely when Grillet first attended literary circles, and he challenged traditional literary theory taking it as a bright new and competent weapon. In Critique on literature tradition and succession of philosophical tradition, Grillet built his postmodern literature theories, put forward his novel ideas creating something new and original. The writer thinks that Alain Robbe-Grillet's novel theory is the sparkle of wisdom in postmodernism novel aesthetic theories and it will serve as a great benefit for constructing the field of Chinese literary theory and understanding western postmodern creative work. For better expounding, I conclude and name his theories. The main points of his novel theories are follows. "Rooting out deep myth". As a planed aesthetics, postmodern aesthetics overturned grant narrative with nihilism. He thought that the sentimental and psychological analysis stylized in Mrs. La Fayette, sociological analysis stylized in Balzac, mental analysis stylized in Freud, and Sartre and Camus's existentialism all fell into the category of deep mythology, and he was a devoted advocate for rooting out deep myth . "Objective descriptivism". In postmodernism, man, once regarded as the center, lost dominance and was no longer regarded as the "essence of universe, super over all other species". Under this theoretical circumstance, Grillet advocated that the task of novelists was to reflect man's neutrality and restrictions , present "all about the object" objectively and describe "precise measurement", "the distance between object and ego" and "the distance within the object itself and among objects". "Non- motivated art theory". Postmodern artists were no longer divine creators, on the contrary, they understood clearly that they faced many puzzles and got confused as the average man. Grillet did not favor the conceited notion of Balzac style and the Sartre's notion of interposing literature, objected to take novel as a tool for a certain political end. In order to correct the formularized diagram creation, he proposed "Non-motivated art theory". "New realism". Postmodernism completely disintegrated traditional notions such as "truthfulness", realism, etc, with deconstruction. Under this circumstance, Grillet reflected upon "realism" and proposed "new realism" and outlined it as "full of fictitious details". The new theory not only bore great significance but was brave to embrace changes, without being confined to one distinct state. "Reader creative theory". Postmodernism demanded active participation and there was no fixed text. Text means action. Grillet noticed relatively early that the literary center was shifting from the author to readers. He proposed "reader creative theory" and put forward suggestions to realize it: the author left some gap in the text, and readers should get rid of their previous notions. Crillet's theory took a negative attitude toward and got rid of the theory which took a closed attitude toward the outside world, at the same time; it called for and praised the awareness which was close to outside worlds. The writer approves and praises thus. However, I also recognized that there are still demerits and unsatisfactory points as well as some merits in his theory.Grillet's uncertain realism, as the concentrated reflection of postmodern philosophy, fel...
