Railway is a production of the Industrial Revolution, its development adapted to that ofhuman societies. The construction of railway itself is an economic behavior. In the Old Chinawhen it was a semi-colony , however, it become a reflection of hegemony, expanding forcesfor the imperial countries .This article will be titled by the investment and its influences toNortheast China railway of the modern Japan .For one hand, the railway investment is animportant part of the whole investment to China of Japan in this period. It not only met thedesire of hankering profits' maximum of Japan's capitalism development, but with railway inthe lead , it also prompted the realization of "The policy of Mardarian and Mongolian". It isof great value of academic study. For the other, in the economic-construction of our countrynowdays, bringing in foreign capital is still an important way to solute the lack of capital, andto alleviate the intense condition. So it is of realistic significance of the study to this subject.this article, on the basis of owning large amount of true historical materials, adoptingsystematic and analytic method, induction and orgaron method, applying the principles ofinvestment, tries to carry on tentative research for this well worthwhile subject. The text of this article is made up of three parts. The first part is the historical motives ofJapan to invest on the railway of Northeast China; the second is the investment; and the lastone is the effects of the investment to Northeast China. The first part mainly analyses thereason of the investment from three aspects: the needs of the Japan Capitalism development,the impulsion of "The policy of Mardarian and Mongolian",and the special place of railway inthe imperial contest .The second part is mainly from the three forms: renting field andself-management, borrowing money and launchment and Sino Japan Jiont-ventures, tointroduce the investment. The third part mainly estimates the effects of the investment toNortheast China from both the obverse and the reverse, it has deepened the colonization of theNortheast, but it also has impulsed the process to the recent times of the Northeast from theobject aspect. In a word, through the study of the investment of Japan and its influences on the railwayof Northeast China, this article tries analysing historial problems from the angle of economy,tries to make some contribution to the study of the investment of Japan to the Northeast China,meanwhile, to provide some uses of reference for today, when it is to extensively draw foreigncapital to the economic construction.
