It seemed that he didn't occupy a very important position in contemporary and academic history in China ;it seemed that what he left to us is no more than the"flow clouds" small poem,some esthetics ,philosophy themes,several translate works and so on. But in fact, the quantity is not the most effective standard for measuring the value. The thought of Mr.Zong can be called to be great and deeply ,and be own unique value;especially his esthetics thought is integrated ,consistent;evoking people to think deeply and affecting profoundly .In his over 60 years'academic career, Mr.Zong made outstanding contribution to Chinese modern esthetics,and worthed being called as one of the "double-star" of Chinses modern esthtics, by the way of wise generosity of spirit and magnanimity ,wandering in sorts of realms : the considering of esthetics;the artistic style's life ;the research about comparison of china-western art and esthetics etc.. Taking a wide view of Zong Baihua's esthetic thought,we can find that he takes the life existence as the groundwork of experiencing the esthetics and life state, and explores the ingenious thought in Chinese and western esthetics art with the Chinses type thinking of comprehend but non-logical way ,and he expressed them with the intuitional,stroll type of language.
