From 1980', there has been a upsurge to study and analysis work values in area of West psychology and management. The focuses of the study are: the structure of work values, the relationships between work values and work satisfaction, work behavior, personalities, etc., the personal differences of work values and the cross-culture study to work values. This paper is to discuss the structure of work values and study the anticipation of personality traits to work values. The most widely used approach classifies work values as intrinsic or extrinsic. Super defined the first integrate structure of the work values in 1962 , and he classified the work values as intrinsic values, extrinsic work values and extrinsic rewords. After that, Wallack made the similitude study, and enduced a three dimensions structure of work values which concludes intrinsic factors, extrinsic factors and mixed factors. Further, Elizur also made a classification to work values by there dimensions which were instrumental, affective and cognitive. The three persons influenced others'study to work values far-reaching. Many other studies derived from the three theories. This paper would adopt the theory and questionnaire of Elizur to study the relationships between personal traits and work values. The main relationships between personal traits and work values are exploring the anticipation of personal traits to work values. Furnham,Nikolaou. L.,Feather, N. T. .etc. Studied the relationships between the big-five, 16PF, etc and work values. A emended questionnaires CPI would be used to study the relationships between personalities and work values in this paper. There are three studies in this paper. Study 1 was to emend the California Personality Inventory (CPI). The investigation concluded 6 personal traits, and they were domination, self-acceptance, capacity for status, sociability, social presence, self-control, achievement via conformance, responsibility, good impression, socialization, well-being, tolerance, intellectual efficiency, achievement via independence, flexibility, psychological mindedness. Study 2 was to test the structure of Work Values Questionnaires (WVQ). After analysis and study 5 dominations were held which are work relationships, pays and treatments, growth, work conditions, self-value embodiment. Study 3 discussed the relationships between personality and work values. Regressions were made by 16 personal traits, gender, age, position as independences and 5 dominations of work values as dependences to ensure the anticipations of independences to dependences. The results were that: a)The structure of work values could be five dominations which were work relationships, pays and treatments, growth, work conditions, self-value embodiment. b)Capacity for status can anti-anticipate work values. That is the more advancements and successes one pursues or the higher social status one aspires, the less trends he will do to improve the interpersonal relationships and that between person and work. c)Self-acceptance for status can anti-anticipate work values. That is the higher one accepts himself and the more self-center, the less trends he will do to improve the interpersonal relationships and that between person and work. d)Tolerance can anticipate growth of work values. That is the more tolerance one is and the less parochialism one is, the more he would think a lot of his growth spaces and chances. e)Flexibility can anti-anticipate the work conditions. The more flexibility, the more changes one likes , the more stimulating and adventured one pursues, the less he can tolerance the bad work conditions. f) Age can anti-anticipate several work values dominations including work relationships, growth, work condition and self-value embodiment.
