Nietzsche occupies the higher position of the literary world as a Anti-tradition figure. After World War II, Nietzsche's books become be read by more and more people. As a disputable figure, his thought still paced back and forth in the edge of the Modernism. After his younger sister Elizabeth and Hitler's propaganda and utilization, Nietzsche's thought and himself degenerated into "inhuman" by "the superhuman".The Birth of Tragedy is Nietzsche's first published work. The uniqueness of Nietzsche's theory of tragedy is that he sets great store by the ancient Greece, Wagner's ideal of music and Schopenhauer's ideal. The Birth of Tragedy centers on two problem for which Nietzsche shows concern all his life, that is, 1 .the meaning of life which is revealed in understanding of Greek art through the analysis of the phenomenon of Dionysus and the world;2.modern cultural criticism which finds expression in the criticism of Socrates' rationalism.Nietzsche called himself as "the first tragedy philosopher", The Birth of Tragedy is the first step of his thought .He eulogizes advancement and surmounting of the life in his work, in which is brimful of summons and treasures about life as a person. Reads this work attentively, we can discover that it is a test without passions about the tragic feeling, but life also can show the force and send out the ray from the test.
