The notion "you mo" is widely used in our daily life. Most of us are introduced to the knowledge of "you mo" after its translation of humor syllabically from west aestheticism. Our common-sense reaction to this stuff is to conclude that humor is "you mo", and vice versa. And presumably, humor is either an attitude or an artistic method. Therefore we often become confused upon its contrast with irony, fun and wit; yet we still know little about humor. This position is hardly satisfying. To probe into the acquisition of humorous generalization, we must trace back to the course when the notion "you mo" entered into Modern Chinese Literature , for the simple reason of deepening into the knowledge of humor.Outline The preface: focusing on the motive to the theme and the issues to be processed appearing within this paper as well as giving a definition to "you mo" in its broadest sense.Chapter one : The creation of "you mo" . Part one discusses the history of "humor" entering into Chinese civilization morphologically and analyzes the translation of "humor" introduced by Wang guowei and Mao dun which contributed to the "history of pre-history" of humor. Part two discusses the prerequisite and its proper condition for the creation of aesthetic humor; notifying that "reason and libido " being the prerequisite to the attention being paid to humor in aesthetic sense; recommending the arising focus on "humor" in aesthetic sense as "misunderstanding " by way of analyzing humor's entering into Chinese linguistic situation as its proper condition of humor; the conclusion of its internal mechanism stemming from the analysis of its original critical qualities of humor. Part three proposes the aesthetic category humor is a kind of invention , but not imitating to aesthetic noun " humor " of west language.Chapter two is named as "the proceeding development of humor between sharp disagreements ". Part one discusses the significance of indicating humor vigorously by the half-monthly lunyu in 1930's ;treating humor as "artery" of analysis . Part two analyzes the development of humorous conflicts; indication that the contribution from the criticism to humor to the succeeding development of humor .Part three is the historilization of humor.
