About the Chinese Drama, I will discuss it from its acoustic and form only with the view of a spectator. As a musicology student, I am very fortunate to pry about the excellent part of Chinese Drama theory. But whatever the notion we study it, the character of Chinese Drama is deeply basic on singing, reciting (dialogues), dancing, acrobatics and martial arts. And the singing is no doubt the most important above the others.I will say, the impulsion of this paper is basic on the view of a student, who seeking why be touched by the great Chinese Drama. Then, the first idea attract me is the unique vocal acoustic and the way it's been sung.Considering the vocal acoustic of Chinese Drama, it's been structured by singing and reciting. Both of it are not only the signs of Chinese Drama's style, but also present the unparalleled Art of Chinese traditional vocal. If the "Sheng, Dan, Jing, Chou" sing with the same tone-color, no Chinese can understand whom they act. So it's the importance of the tone-color in Chinese Drama..Here we face an aesthetic question of the tone-color of Chinese Drama vocal, and that is exactly relayed to the conception of Chinese acoustic feature. So I suppose, the study of the Chinese Drama's tone-color is not only refer to how it be presented, but also seek the reason it is so rich and various by review its way of producing. Which is more important, through the study of tone-color, we can resurvey the aesthetic perception of Chinese people. And from attaching its importance to the unique tradition, the aesthetic perception of tone-color, we can pay more attention to its inheriting and developing in the future.Singing and reciting, are the two important parts of Chinese Drama vocal. Although the form...
