This paper probes into ideologist Du Ya-quan's ethical ideas which are popular in the transferring period from the contemporary times to modern times, and reveals the realistic significance of his seek into the new world order , and reconstruction of the meaningful world.This research focus on realistic problems of how to implement morality construction in China, by combining theoretical analysis with empirical case study. The paper firstly interprets Du Ya-quan's texts to understand his ethical thoughts, which cover his theoretical bases, i.e. theory of morality standards and spirit-nation-saving; his critical inheritance to traditional morality, i.e. morality reconciliation and his attention to moral practice, i.e. approaches to morality development. Then, the paper makes a deep analysis of the enlightenment effect of Du Ya-quan's ethical thoughts. The conclusion is that Du Ya-quan's ethical thoughts is an essential part of Chinese moral development in the 20th century. His moral value system with modern enlightenment has a unique value in intellectual history of China. His ethical ideas has an important inspiration to Chinese"accommodation approach"during such a social transferring period. Also, it has a profound influence on the capacity of Chinese traditional culture and personality spirit molding.
