The School of Discussion in Ancient Chinese History represented by Guxiegang was a famous historical school in 1920s. In that era, China and the West were carrying on dialogue, and the academic research manifested modernization. They studied the traditional classics in modern vision, which showed universality and premonition. They deconstructed traditional research on The Book of Songs and removed forged history for the purposes of revivifying the remote history. The School confronted the text, uncovered the veil, and reinstated The Book of Songs' civil character and Literature features, which has become a classic case of modern study on The Book of Songs. In 1980s, the research's research on The Book of Songs started and became widespread quickly. But the research, which overlooked the hermeneutics' value of regarding the school as receptor, is dispersive and superficial for only combing materials and outlining viewpoint. So, this paper, referring to the western hermeneutics and reception theory, renewed the research method, revealed the poetry model and hidden subject in the School's research.Doubting thoughts towards ancient, modern western theory and new ideological trend formed the vision of the School. The Book of Songs' folk nature was accepted by the Schools widely. Literature and history could be understood by each other through the comparative study of the Book of Songs and the folk songs. These two points are the key to deconstruction and revivification. We can explore more poetic topic following the points.
