A Study Of The Acquisition Of Chinese Contracted Structure

The thesis, a study of the acquisition of Chinese contracted structure, is a new tentative manner both theoretically and practically in Second Language Acquisition. Adopted both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, a close examination of the acquisition Chinese contracted structure by foreign students has been made and analyzed.First, the conception, the types, the range and the descriptions of the syntax, the logical semantic relationship, and the pragmatic of the Chinese contracted structure are made; Next, based on the analysis of questionnaires completed by the foreign students and statistical verification, the thesis investigates the foreign students' apprehending Chinese contracted structure in syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects and finds out the foreign students' apprehending features of Chinese contracted structure; Third, based on the analysis of the written texts of the foreign students and syntactic, semantic and pragmatic error application of Chinese contracted structure, the thesis obtains the foreign students' applying characteristics of Chinese contracted structure; Last, the summaries have been made on regular patterns of foreign students' acquiring Chinese contracted structure and new methods of teaching Chinese contracted structure to foreigners have been provided by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of some present teaching materials about teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
