This research, conducted against the background of college English teaching reform, by combining relevant theories and employing survey, interview and other methods, expounds and analyzes the necessity and feasibility of applying the blended-learning theories into the practice of college English teaching. Finally, according to the teaching practice, by analyzing the researching findings and existing problems, the author tries to put forward some suggestions and solutions.The research begins with the retrospection of the three learning theories which influences the field of education technology, and expounds the blended-learning theories and other related ones. Moreover, the research demonstrates and reasons the necessity and feasibility on the application of the blended-learning theories into college English teaching, by restoring the Requirement for College English Teaching of its new edition.The paper altogether consists of four parts.The first part mainly presents its academic background, status quota, researching purposes, significance and approaches of the research.The second part, beginning with the retrospection of the three learning theories which influences educational technology area, expounds the blended-learning theories and other related ones, and demonstrates and reasons the necessity and feasibility on the application of the blended-learning theories into college English teaching, by restoring the Requirement for College English Teaching of its new edition.The third part tries to reason and prove the effectiveness of the application of the blended-learning theories into college English teaching. This part also analyzes the researching findings and existing problems, and by doing so, tries to offer some suggestions.The last part summarizes the researching .work and generalizes the conclusion of the research. Besides these, the author also indicates the weak points of the research and points out the direction of further research.
