| In this paper, issues such as "What is the'radicals by itself a character'","the characteristics of the'radicals by itself a character'","the classification of the'radicals by itself a character'" "its application in the Chinese characters teaching as the second language" will be generally discussed. Taking A, B, C, D four grades Chinese character (a total of 2,905) in the" HSK Graded Character List" for text materials, it can be splitted up into 633'radicals by itself a character'referring to the radicals split rules in the "For basic teaching of modern Chinese characters commonly used radicals standard" and the "major priority "principle" of the split principle of'WUBI'". Taking these 633'radicals by itself a character'for specific examples , there could be following six kinds of Classification: To classify according to the character structure. The way that the'radicals by itself a character'constitute with other parts. According to the form changing when constitute the new characters . Refer to the position of the'radicals by itself a character'in the new characters. Refer to the strokes. As the study materials are limited in scope, at the process of Statistics, we found 35 characters which has stronger characters-building ability were not included in the"HSK Graded Character List".
