Temperament is a very stable and long-lasting psychological character, which is determined by biology. It is the foundation of personality and have impact on children's temperament and behavior. Meanwhile, it affects children's parent-child relation, cognitive development and early education and so on. The activity is an important factor which influences the development of children's mental and behavior and associate closely with the environment. Activity is the different energy consumption through movement and the speed of movement, it is reflected on the speed and intensity of activities. The family is a major social and psychological environment for children's growth. Parents in the education of their children will have a direct impact on the children's temperament. So, it not only has great theoretical significance, but also has a strong practical significance for us to study the relation between children's temperament and parenting style. Therefore, the purpose of the present research is to explore the relationship between children's activity and parenting style by the longitudinal study. The methods we use are questionnaires, observation and laboratory observation. The results of the experiment indicate that: 1. After a year of the longitudinal study, we found that there existed a certain stability on children's activities; 2. There is stable gender differences in children's activity, and boys are higher than girls; 3.The doting and permissive parenting can significantly predict children's activity; 4.It is transformative between parenting and development of children's activity. Doting and activity which was still significantly positive correlation; and the permissive parents of children with different activity has stabilized.
