The Summary Of Study On Simplified Chinese Characters

Chinese character simplification is an important phenomenon of character's development and evolution. Further study on Simplified Chinese characters is beneficial to understanding the interior regulations of Chinese characters'sdevelopment,meanwhile, it also has the instructing function to the standardization of Chinese characters,moreover,it can enrich the theories of philology.This paper will discusses the Simplified Chinese characters in different aspects, and it can be divided into four parts:The first part: it will introduce the spontaneous and conscious phenomenon of the simplification of Chinese characters, and give a general roundup of them, in addition, we will reaffirm the necessary comprehension of the simplification of the Chinese characters, which includes the above two forms'phenomenon and their interrelation., which is the result of its development and the people's inclusion in terms of Chinese characters'rule. It is a long time since people began to pay attention to this domain: Simplified Chinese characters. We think it can be separated into different stages: the beginning, the growth, the climax and its polybasic period. Especially after the reform and opening to the outside world for China ,many experts rushed into to express their opinions and publish theirs books about Simplified Chinese characters, which let the Simplified Chinese characters become one of the centers of academic circles, such as the research of its simplified method ,the transformation between the Traditional and the Simplified Chinese characters, and the evaluation of the Simplified Chinese characters .The Simplified Chinese characters is just like two bladed sword ,it has advantages and disadvantages, but generally speaking ,the advantage overweigh the disadvantages no matter from any aspects. so it is necessary to simplify the Chinese characters.The second part, it will emphasize the defects of the Simplified Chinese characters in the terms of its method, feature and its application. The method of the Simplified Chinese characters is various ,although it reach the purpose of simplification of the Chinese characters, there are many defects , for example, take replacement of homonym, analogized simplification ,but they are many disadvantages, such as lack of the rule in the development of simplification, or the result of analogizing not thoroughly, which result in no systematization of Chinese characters to some extent ,meanwhile, it damage the entire Chinese characters systemic and impact the inheritance of the national culture, and cause the phenomenon of Simplified Chinese characters chaos in its application.The third part: it discusses the relation between the simplification of Chinese characters and the law of the development of Chinese characters, and also the relation between the simplification of Chinese characters and the standardization of Chinese characters to be discussed in this part. No matter the spontaneous simplification or the conscious simplification, we must comply with the law of the development of the Chinese characters, such as the structure of Chinese characters balance symmetry, the overall system of Chinese characters, the optimization of Chinese characters and so on, and only comply with the rule of Chinese characters development, can it be accepted by the community. In the meanwhile, the simplification and the standardization of Chinese characters must be joined together. Simplification is said from the aspect of itself of the Simplified Chinese characters; in the meanwhile, standardization is said from the aspect of its application. The purpose of the simplification bring convenience for us ,and standardization reach the purpose of stability ,in a word ,it is necessary for their correlations in the future study。The fourth part, it will show some regulations although there are many problems, such as stability principle, contractual principle, and logical principle and so on. It will give some advices in the following work of the simplification of Chinese characters, such as sum up the experience and lessons from the simplification of Chinese characters in the past carefully, and continue to adhere to the manner of"established by popular usage, press on steadily", and accept the experience of the transformation between the Simplified form and Traditional form. And also give a number of corresponding recommendations.While I am writing my paper, I try to expound different aspects of Simplified Chinese characters according to the principle which is starting out everything form practice, during this term; I gather many fruits which came from some experts. Because of the limiting of ability, there are many drawbacks, and I hope each teacher and schoolmates give me some suggestions.
