The Study Of Christian's Faith State In A Small Town During Transformation Period In China

This paper is intend to make a deeper discussion on the faith state of Christian and the impact on a family after Christianity is introduced to the family members in a small town with the angle of sociology. This research that based on the investigation in Chengguan Town of Shangshui County, Henan Province analyzes above-mentioned problems with the research methods including case study, archival research and questionnaire survey. Furthermore, the paper tries to propose some explanations in terms of sociology. The paper is composed of following four parts:The first part introduces the background of this study, review relevant study, clarify research object, the study purpose, significance and offers main study methods.The second part describes the faith state of Christian in the town: including their main religion activity and religion idea, the reason of their faith, the impact on Christian after they believe in Christianity and so on. As well as, the part makes a preliminary discussion about the evaluation on Christian and non- Christian each other.The third part probes into various kinds of influences on the family after Christianity is introduced to the family and the reason why Christian is eager to evangelize. It takes a family as typical case to analyze the influence of Christianity on family's structure, family's authority, family's social relationships, family produce and the spiritual state of Christian's children.The fourth part sums up the basic conclusion of this research, points out the shortages of this research and discusses some relevant problems.
