The Study Of "Jiewei" In ShuoWenGuangYi

ShuoWenGuangYi(《说文广义》)is one of wangfuzhi's literature to the study of ShuowerJiezi in linguistics and philology.The subject of this book is to clarify the literal writing,and to rectify the errors of the ancients and the contemporary person in writing(especially the contemporary person).The book takes liushu as standard,and explain how to turn into one of the lexical meaning from the original meanings of the words then.There is a terminology "Jiewei" in this book which links the original meanings and the other meanings."Jiewei" is an exegectical terminology in common use.It has five kinds of variety forms in ShuoWenGuangYi,such as "Jie…Wei…" "Wei" "You" "Zhuanjiewei" "Zhuanwei".We take "Jiewei" as breakthrough point at the time of studying exegectical terminology,and observes and studies the example of "Jiewei"in this book in an overall way.We discove that "Jiewei" has the function of extending the meaning and borrowing the word.It is a dim exegectical terminology with multiple implications and functions in ShuoWenGuangYi.At the same time,the author acknowledges its exegectical successes of "Jiewei",and analyses and distinguishs the existing demerits.Except the foreword and the ending,the thesis is composed of four parts.First,it introduces "Jiewei"'forms of expression distributed conditions and exegectical rules.Secondly,it analyses and induces "Jiewei"'s function and nature.Thirdly,it introduces its exegectical successes of "Jiewei".Lastly,it points out the existing demerits in theory and practice.
