A Study Of The Prosopopeia Poems In The Weijin And South-North Dynasties

There are lots of prosopopeia poems about the abandoned women which deserve a special recognition by the ancient scholars.However,the studies on the first-person narrators of poems are few in the academia.So this thesis discusses its concept,the characteristic and the course of taken place.Then it analyzes the detailed features in the content and means of artistic expression during the three periods from Caowei,East&West Jin to South-North Dynasties.The prosopopeia poems are those expressing other's mind by using him/her as the first-person narrators which the poet need to be make up as a actor or actress.According to the situation of the prosopopeia poems,it can be divided into three periods:the earlier period,the development period and the prosperous period which direct Caowei,East -West Jin to South-North Dynasties separately.The Caowei poems had the obviously characteristics which is called as the Sound of Kangkai.But the Jin dynasty poets paid attention to the love with the mouthpiece style.To the South dynasty,more poems described the sad and beauty of the singing girls or maid of the royal court.The mouthpiece style in the poems matured as means of artistic expression.On the one hand,it,as a pattern of performance,provides entertainment during the literator' gathering;On the other hand,the function of the mouthpiece style was widened;As a model of these poets,Caozhi had combined the prosopopeia with symbol,which could express his own feelings while writing down other's voice.And also the poets developed the object of Mouthpiece Style,not only he abandoned women,the animals and plants but also some nonfigurative image.In the South-north Dynasties,the poetry appreciation tendency of taking sorrow as beauty effected the prosopopeia poems.In brief,the prosopopeia poems in the Six dynasties has three functions:a literature which can entertain others and themselves,the indirect expressing way in literates and the literal object being taken pleasure in.These promoted the prosperity of the poems of the Weijin and the South-North Dynasties...
