Based on the author s experiment and current theories, this paper mainly discusses about the Teaching Mode of Chinese characters. Different from the common teaching mode, this new mode is carried in the way of teaching a group of Chinese characters prior to words explanations and readings.The first part of the paper is the part of exordium. It refers that we' ve paid little attention to the Chinese Character Teaching to the students from "Chinese Culture Circle" . When we teach Chinese to Japanese, we pass the Chinese character teaching quickly. Owing to this, the Japanese students pay little attention to Chinese Characters and make some mistakes in homework.In the following part, the author looks back to the theories on Chinese Character teaching to Japanese students makes a brief introduction of the previous research. The author concludes the theories in two respects: language contrast and error analyze. Then it' s the discussion on the topic of whether the negative transfer is the main reason of errors made by Japanese students during their Chinese writings. The author uses the theory of Media-Language to explain the phenomenon of Media-Language on Chinese character learning. In order to reduce the negative transferring during Japanese students' Chinese writing, the author brings forward a teaching assume on Chinese teaching to the Japanese students, using the Focus-Character teaching mode that is commonly used to teach Chinese students in mainland China.Then it' s the part of teaching experiment. The author carried a teaching experiment on Chinese teaching way to Japanese students of two classes. One is the experiment class, one is the common class. Comparing the scores of test papers designed by the author for the two classes, the author found the teaching way carried on the experiment class is an efficient way to improve the Japanese students' Chinese level.The next part is to analyze the teaching way on theory, including the there under of the teaching way and the planning of it .As for the there under of the teaching way, the author includes the three respects: Character—stand theory, the second language learning rule and cognize psychology. As for the design, teachings should pay attention to analyze the teaching object, be clear about the teaching aim, do some research on the Chinese character structure and relations between the Character and word.The last part is the conclusion of the paper.
