Since one and a half century, Darwin's theory of evolution has been firmly established in the academic status and has brought a great impact on the people's ideas and values, but there is a considerable part which is a misunderstanding of Darwin's theory of evolution. This article outlines firstly the stage of development about the theory of evolution, focusing on Darwin's theory of evolution to attempt to clarify a misunderstanding of Darwin's theory of evolution and analyses the meaning of the "evolution", the competition and understanding of social Darwinism. Modern theory of evolution and the generalized theory of evolution made a lot of development on Darwin's theory of evolution. Understanding of Darwin's theory of evolution correctly, and studying on the impact of the value of life and inspiration from Darwin's theory of evolution. We can find the value of the element which guides to the meaning of life from some of the current assessment of the main values, traditional values and the combination of Darwin's theory of evolution: In our pursuit of value, the competition should be not our goal and the significance of life, only a means, which need to put the pursuit of competition in the value of the position; we need draw useful composition from our traditional values, inspiring in Darwin's theory of evolution under the concept of symbiosis into our value system; generalized theory of evolution lead us to use the global awareness and sense of responsibility to look at our lives, with a view to enable the evolution of human society to the "more in tune with" stage.
