The nature of human language lies in its semantic characters. Semantics runs throughout all levels of language, therefore the study of grammar and semantics are inextricably linked and it is inevitable to integrate the semantic study into grammar. As the basic point and the study object of the grammar study, sentence its internal structure and semantics of syntactic structures, as well as the intrinsic link between them have become the top priority of grammar research.Verb is the center of a sentence, is the best observation point of the semantic structure of sentence syntax, valence is a typical grammar of the verb center. In view of fact that the syntactic and semantic study has become the focus of the academic study, while the Uygur language study is in the relatively weak point, the present thesis carries on a comprehensive and systematic study of valence theory of the modern Uygur verb as the key link on the basis of the previous studies. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the main verb valence research, the significance and the methods of the study, and this is the premise of the paper. Chapter II puts valence theory study into the study of Uygur language, and gives a brief outline of the theory, and this is the theoretical basis of the present research. Chapter III gives a comprehensive and systematic description and analysis of modern Uygur valence of the verb, and this chapter is the focus and the most challenging part of the paper. Based on the comprehensive understanding of the valence theory, the present paper carries a step-by-step, comprehensive and systematic study on valence of Uygur verbs, and ultimately explores the coordination relations of semantics and syntax in Uygur. The paper pays attention to the static and the dynamic study of the verb. Chapter IV draws a natural conclusion of the paper.
