This thesis analyses many examples from Book of Songs Annotated by Zhu Xi, General Comment on Book of Songs by Yao Hengji, and Book of Songs First Hand by Fang Yurun and points out their contributions to Book of Songs literary study, thus figuring out the development of Book of Songs literary study.Zhu Xi's Book of Songs Annotated had enlightening impact on Book of Songs literary study, and Yao Jiheng's and Fang Yurun's works had all used Zhu Xi's work as study object, refuted or carried down Zhu's viewpoint. Yao and Fang were praised highly by scholars after the May 4th Movement, and were labled as representative figures of Book of Songs literary study area of the Qing Dynasty. This thesis carries a contradistinctive analysis of the three works above, and believes that they all carried down the antecessors'viewpoints as well as gave new ones. They all attached great importance to researching the meaning of the original text, and claimed that literary study should be based on the correct understanding of the poetry, which is their common ground.There are also some similarities and dissimilarities in the analysis of emotions and appreciation of the art techniques.This thesis tries to expound the formation and development of different viewpoints in Book of Songs literary study area from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, in order to show the skeleton of the Book of Songs literature study of this period.This thesis is composed of three chapters.The first one, "treasure the original text of Book of Songs", discusses that Zhu Xi, Yao Jiheng,Fang Yurun and other scholars in Song Dynasty attached great importance to the original text of Book of Songs.The second chapter, "reading of the emotional world in Book of Songs", discusses different attitudes from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty to explain the feelings in the love poetry and other poetry in Book of Songs.The third, "the appreciation of art techniques of Book of Songs",discusses that Yao Jiheng and Fang Yurun, despite the atmosphere of others in Qing Dynasty refuting Ming literary studies, sticked to circle and comment approach and carried down as well as developed the antecessors'viewpoints in the analysis of the art of Book of Songs.
