A Study On The Information Service Industry

The Information Service Industry is studied in this dissertation. The content involves the concept and characteristic, defining its system scope, several chief industrial departments, the present state and developing trend home and abroad. The studying emphases include defining its system scope, studying several chief industrial departments, analyzing and comparing the difference of developing information service industry home and abroad. The method is combining theory research with evidence research.The preceding half part of thesis stresses to study in theory. At first, thesis discusses its developing background and points out that the essence of new economy is the perfect combination with service economy and information economy. Secondly it introduces several related concepts -information, information industry and service industry, and studies the important function of developing information industry and service industry. From the third chapter the thesis begins studying the concept, characteristic and function of the information service industry. The defining of its system scope is emphasized in this part. Finally the thesis studies several chief industrial departments of modern information service industry: software industry, system integration industry, database service industry, Internet service industry and consultation industry, especially their market status and developing trend have been studied to the focal point.The final half part of the thesis stresses to study in evidence. On the foundation of analyzing completely the present state of the advanced economy, such as the United States, Europe and Japan, and developing economy, such as India, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan Province of China, it studies focally their developing state, main characteristic and the experience & lesson of developing the information service industry. After that, the same content of Chinese information service industry have been analyzed from two aspects of industrial structure and district conditions.IXIn the end the thesis puts forward useful countermeasure and suggestion about development model, selection of breakthrough point, exploring information resource, telecommunication reforming, cultivating large enterprise, perfecting regulations and human resources etc, in order to supply the concerned government departments.
