| This article carries out study under the background of development of world automobile industry and in the situation of the country revitalizing the old industry base of Northeast China, and through analyzing the environment of automobile industry in Jilin Province, proposes developmental strategy, developmental planning and countermeasures, with a goal of making automobile industry of Jilin Province more powerful. I. Statement of Problem and the Background Under the general background, in which the structure of the global automobile industry changes greatly and that of China is developing rapidly, the country supports adjustment and reform of the old industry base, which is a great opportunity for our province, as a large province in automobile industry. Therefore, the development of automobile industry of our province is particularly catching eyes. "Program for Revitalizing Jilin as an Old Industry Base" has been enacted on the 8th Conference of the Standing Committee of the 10th Jilin Provincial People's Congress. In the Program, it is specifically stated that our province is to be constructed as an automobile industry base with international competitiveness. The overall strategy goal has been specified. However, it seems especially urgent to make clear how to achieve this goal through furtherance in study of automobile industry development strategy of our province. By the study made in this article, it is to apprehend more about the automobile industry and consolidate the idealistic foundation that automobile industry is to be developed by the province as a whole. We should recognize the environment where the automobile industry of our province develops, find the correct position and clearly determine the development direction. We should explicitly know train of thoughts for the development of automobile industry of our province, establish scientific and useful developmental strategy and make certain the developmental goal and priority. Countermeasures with high feasibility should be established so as to speed up the construction of automobile industry base of our province. II. III. Analysis of Environment for Automobile Industry of Our ProvinceIn a view of international environment, it is clear that strategic reorganization of global automobile industry is speed up. The market competition is increasingly sharper and market idea is constantly updated. Technical innovation becomes the key to obtain core competitiveness. Platform strategy, global procurement and modularized supply are gradually becoming a trend. Energy saving, environmental protection and safety become the predominant tendency for development of automobile industry.
