Core strength is a kind of ability attached to the mortar control and muscular capacity of the lumbar-pelvic-hip complex, which plays a very important role in the most of sport. It is not only able to maintain body balance, to ensure special movements of stable play but also force players made the major parts of the body. It is the hub of the lower limb force coordination in the process of power transfer to play a connecting role. In the field of table tennis, the athletes should hit the ball on the moving even under the state of imbalance, so the quality of the coordination and the balance are very important. Therefore, the athlete must have strong core strength as a guarantee if he wants to have a good performance.Currently, the domestic and overseas studies are mostly concentrating on the theory of core strength training. There is few studies carried out in the table tennis and even much fewer people involved in the project. Therefore, this paper does an experimental study on core strength training for table tennis players.This paper adopts methods from some documents related, uses logical reasoning, mathematical statistics and other research methods. This paper takes eighteen table tennis players from Shanghai University of sports as the experimental subjects to analysis the changes in their physical indicator before and after the experiment, in order to explore the effect difference between the core strength training and the general physical training. Moreover, this paper makes the table tennis players some feasibility proposals for physical training. The major findings or the compare results show as following.This paper uses the experimental method altogether literature, logical reasoning, mathematical statistics and other methods. This paper takes eighteen table tennis players from Shanghai University of sports as the experimental subjects to analysis the changes in their physical indicator before and after ten-week core strength training. The major findings or the compare results show as following.First, after the experiment, the results of running the table shows a significant difference between the two groups, from which we can make a conclusion that the core strength training can develop the quality of agility and it is better than the general training.Second, the ability of the experimental group and the control group get improved in the balance controlling, still solid ball throwing and throwing the ball moving solid than before. The performance of every experimental group gets much better than the control groups. But there were no significant difference between the groups. Therefore, compared with the normal physical training, the short-term core strength training does not show the obvious advantages in improving the body strength quality field.Third, the ability of the experimental group and the control group get improved in the still solid than before. The performance of every experimental group gets as good as the control groups. Therefore, compared with the normal physical training, core strength training does not show the advantages in improving the body speed quality field.Fourth, professional training period of the player has a significant impact on the results of still solid ball throw. Training methods have a significant impact on the results of running around the table and solid ball movement. Pre-experiment results play a very significant impact on the changes of all the physical indicators.
