Any sports events are separated from strength training, strength training is an important part of all sports events. After a long time of training, strength training is the basis of physical ability, speed and flexibility. It is the key factor for the athletes to master and improve the technology. With the change of times, strength training is also in constant development and innovation. Now strength training is divided into: the traditional strength training and core strength training two categories. Traditional strength training method is the training method of the resistance force. Core strength training is to improve the coordination of the body, and to complete the technical movements by the exercise of the core muscle group.Tennis is a sport that requires high stability and continuity, so it's important to say that physical fitness is important for tennis, and the basis for physical training is strength training. Only by keeping a good physical ability, can we maintain the ability to handle the ball in the tennis match, to be stable in response to each attack, and ultimately to win the game. So strength training in the tennis movement has a vital role.Through literature review, expert interview, Expert questionnaire survey,experiment, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis and other methods, this paper makes a detailed analysis and comparison of the core strength training method and the traditional strength training method. This basis of Harbin Institute of physical education and sports school tennis team of students, students in tennis elective class were a period of 10-12 weeks of strength training. On the basis of the training of the domestic and international forces and the core strength, the combination of the technical and tactical characteristics of the tennis, the use of static and dynamic training method. Trying to find out the strength training method which is suitable for tennis, and the research of the core strength training method and the traditional strength training method, the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional strength training and core strength are summarized.
