China proves to the world that it has the capacity of holding the world's largest sporting events, after the complete success of 29th Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. It has made the remarkable achievements in the Olympic Games market development. The 11th China National Games also came to an end in Jinan, Shandong Province on October 28,2009. The market revenue is also higher than previous years, which make great contributions to promote the development of the Games and the economic development of Shandong Province. As the largest and highest level of comprehensive games, National Games has gone through several stages of model changes, from the first non-market development of Government held in full funding to the present Government leadership and to enhance the games market operation, which in line with China's particular situation and sports system requirements, promoted the further development of the games.As the rapid development of the market economy and the sports industry, how to successfully organize large-scale sporting games becomes the study object of governments, experts and scholars. Through research and analysis, most experts believe that in the market economy condition, pre-organization and marketing becomes the main factor which determines the success and effectiveness of the games. Market development has been gradually taken seriously in the operation of the games. After reform and development, Olympics have made great achievements in the market development, forming its unique development model. This study uses the methods of literature, expert interviews, and comparative analysis. It takes the National Games' market development model as the object. By drawing on the experience of Olympic marketing, this study begins from the analysis of previous National Games market development according to the national conditions, and focuses on the National Games' market development models. What's more, the study tries to build new market development models because of the lack of present model.
