Mr. Wang Senran is not only a writer, historian and artist, but also an educator on Chinese language teaching. Living in the beginning period of the history of modern Chinese language teaching, he insisted on absorbing the advanced education theory of that time and taught by himself, forming a unique teaching thought on Chinese language in middle school which has made great contribution to the Chinese language education. The Chinese language teaching thoughts have reference significances to the Chinese language teaching of that time and today.The research method of this paper is literature research. On the base of reading a large number of related literature materials and through comparative study, the author analyzed Wang Senran's thoughts on Chinese language teaching in middle school and puts forward some thinking.Chapter one is Teleology of Chinese Language Course. It mainly introduces the outlooks of Wang Senran on teleology of Chinese language course and gives the aim of Chinese language course is to train the completely independent social man and comprehensively improve the students'Chinese language literacy. Chapter two is about On Chinese Language Teaching Materials in Middle School. It introduces the standard of Wang Senran's choice of Chinese language teaching materials and related theories of writing text books and the enlightenments of them on the contemporary Chinese language teaching materials compilation. Chapter three is Wang Senran's Views of Teaching Methodology and Its Enlightenment. Mr. Wang opposed the method of forcing the students to study and thought we should choose the effective teaching method according to the kind of Chinese language teaching materials. That point is not only advanced at that time but also has great significance to the modern Chinese language teaching. The Reading Teaching Method of him is worth for Chinese language teachers to experience, to think and to extend.
