At present, the curriculum reform of the basic education has an urgent demand for the transformation in the students' learning methods, and the inquiry teaching model is a good way to realize this kind of transformation.This teaching model has five characteristic: inspiring the students to be active, impulsing the students to raise questions, emphasizing on the learning process, encouraging cooperation and demanding the students' practice within and outside classes. The teachers who are applying for the teaching model must choose the interesting subjects from the main content of Physics for the students to research, decide the research types, use the best organizing form, design the research activities and prepare related materials. In classroom teaching, the students' research activities include eight steps: group division, group position readjustment, classroom research stimulating, self-learning and research, group research, class-discussing research, conclusion-making research and "excellent research group" evaluation. Thus, the teachers must induce the students to make out-of-class researches besides the classroom activities, choose or arouse questions by themselves, design the research plan on their own, do self-research or group research, and at last, get them to report and argue for their research results. In this way, teachers can encourage the students to do further inquiry researches.
