To understand the formulae in mathematics is crucial in the teaching of mathematics. It is the starting point of students' logic thinking, the fundamental of their insightful cognition, the core of their thinking in the mathematic way. Thus the teaching of mathematic formulae and the researches in that field is always a focus in the whole teaching of mathematics. However the researches done ago, of which the basis is from the behaviorism to the cognitive psychology are obviously out of date. This paper develops on the researches in recent years, and is base on the cognition of situations and theories of learning the mathematic formulae. It states to readers the steps of the development involved in the theory the cognition of situations and theories of learning . and also tells the main point and its significance in the teaching. Moreover, I compare and analyze the methods of teachers' using cognition of situations and creation of situations, with some cases in teaching to illustrate.
