Based on the correlative researches about the vocational guidance and the structure of vocational competence of the undergraduates in and abroad, this thesis studies the structure of vocational competence which undergraduates and employers concern respectively by questionnaire survey. Furthermore, the author attempts to find out the emphasis on the factors of the structure of vocational competence between the undergraduates in different sex, major, grade and different employers. Besides, the thesis also studies the competence items which the undergraduates and the employers respectively concern most among the 34 competence items. The results indicate:1. The structure of vocational competence which the undergraduates concern subjectively includes six factors: competence of management, competence to keep balanced mentality, practical competence, morality, intelligence, physique; the structure of vocational competence which the employment units concern actually includes seven factors: competence of management, competence to keep balanced mentality, practical competence, morality, intelligence, physique, communicational competence.2. The data analysis strongly confirms the following hypotheses: the undergraduates of different majors would have different emphasis on the factors of competence of management and practical competence; different sexual undergraduates have different emphasis on the factors of the practical competence and physique; different employers have different o emphasis on the factors of the practical competence and physique. However, there exists no difference in the other items.3. The research indicates that in the 34 competent items, the factors of communication competence, self-confidence, innovational competence, language, responsibility, adaptation, team cooperation, mental endurance are emphasized by both undergraduates and employers. However, the undergraduates pay more attention on English level, mental adjustability, computer competence than employers. While the employers show more interest on employees' learning competence, independence and ability.
