| With the continuous improvement of people's physical abilities, as well as the widespread appearances of all-round athletes, modern basketball is developing for jumping-high privilege, high skills and high speed, which leads to the dramatic change in the two systems of the basketball attacking and defending. As all kinds of the abilities and strategies of defending permeate each other, and the techniques of attacking and defending are making endless progress, basketball attacking strategy is heading for the theory of team moving, which centers on the athletes'team attacking capabilities. This paper, by observing the video of the 15th World Men's Basketball Championship, finds that the team moving and attacking ability is being paid more and more attention, and has more obvious effects on the process of the result of the match. However, it has not received enough attention in our country, which this paper is going to focus on. During the 110th anniversary ceremony of Basketball in China in November 2005, I interviewed and surveyed some scholars and experts. Based on my major study and expert advice, I defined the team moving and attacking ability as follows: by the organized, aimed and endless cooperation of different attacking strategies, the team is developing the shooting ability by multi-chances, multi-directions, multi-areas, multi-routs and multi-spots, thus obtaining the comprehensive ability of best scoring .This study has compared and analyzed the technical data of the basic information, the abilities of scoring, defending, attacking, moving, breaking through, and punishing of the six excellent national teams which have competed with Chinese team, the world top eight teams. Besides, it has also pointed out the effects of the team moving and attacking ability on different positions and the conception that defending controls attacking. Based on the above study, this paper comes to the reasonable conclusion and advice, which, I hope, will be beneficial references for our basketball training and competitions. The meanings of my research lies in the following aspects: 1. it is a revolutionary break-through in the definition of team moving and attacking ability, which has the potential scoring ability. It provides the theories for the research and exploring and recognition of basic rules in the basketball in China. 2. It points out that the modern basketball is heading for the team moving and attacking abilities with the development the basketball strategies.3. By making a careful comparison and summary of the team moving and attacking abilities between Chinese and foreign men basketball team, it finds out the gap, which is a good guidance for the future training and competition of the men basketball team.Abstract: The main research methods in this dissertation include: literature review; interview; questionnaire; video-based statistics; mathematical statistics. Through contrastive analysis, the main research outcomes are listed as follows:1.The leading teams pay attention to strategic unity while playing, combining the skillfull shooting from the downtown and fast body movement. They have various ways to attack and are adept at shooting by seeking vacant space in the constant movement. The field goal percentage, by virtue of optimal shooting time, is very high. The way they attack is a full reflection of swiftness, precision, flexibility characteristic of basketball game. By contrast, there is a lack of cooperation in the way the Chinese team attack. The poor pick and roll between the center and the guards, the unskillful break and pass caused bu the forceful break of the guards, the inefficiency to seek the optimal shooting time in the movement lead to the obvious gap between Chinese team and the world's leading team.2.The Chinese team is distinctively inferior to the world's leading team in the mobile attack in unity in the 15th World Men's Basketball Championship.(p<0.05)3.The biggest distinction between Chinese team and world's leading team in positional arrangement lies as follows: The world's leading team put much emphasis on the cooperative attack; there is no definite demarcation between among different positions; the forwards and the guards possess various kinds of techniques. Apart from taking full advantage of favorable players and positions, they carry out active attack even if they don't have advantageous players. On the contrary, the Chinese team relies too much on the center in tactics. The aggressive attack and active use of tactics by forwards and guards is greatly inferior to those of world's leading team.4.The Chinese team's attack system is not complete and lack in change. Through the video some technique indicators, the attack tactics is rather monotonous. The offensive position and line is fixed rather than flexible. During the positional attack, it relies too much on the center and can only adopt the tactics of the half-court defense , half-court zone defense, breaking the press and the defense zone ,pass the ball from the edge of the bound. As regard for the fast break, it is only 2 to 1, or 3 to 2, rather than done by the whole team. They can't defense the fast break or break the whole-court press. The failure of Chinese team at this championship lies in the lack of cooperative attack and failure to break the whole–court press.5.One question keeping obsessing Chinese Men's Basketball Team in some games in this championship is the problem of energy. The problem of lacking energy became obvious in the third quarter of Chinese Team's last two games. Modern basketball game is a competition between counterparts, with the third quarter being a fatal period for the winnership, in which the team lag behind temporarily can have a table-round ending once they follow the rival closely. On the contrary, taking the lead in this quarter will infuse confidence and courage to the team to struggle to win at last. In the 6 games in this championship, especially the last 2, Chinese Team has been defeated by its rivals in the third quarter because of lack of energy, decrease of field goal percentage and increase of turnovers. Even Yao Ming was too tired to participate the warming-up exercises in the last game. However, in fact, foreign coach had been invited to teach them how to maintain energy in the preparation training before the championship. The key point lies in that only 7 to 8 members of Chinese Team keep running in each game. The consumption of energy and constant fatigue are too severe to recover in a short time. Therefore, a reasonable arrangement of team members and advocating a team-work spirit is another problem that needs to be dealt with for Chinese Men's Basketball Team.
