On the historical stage of modern China, Ren Hongjun was an outstanding person in the scientific history. He was not only a positive advocator, practitioner of science education, but also a standard-bearer and promoter of modern science education thoughts. He devoted his whole life to science and science education of China and made remarkable contribution in forming and developing of science education in China. The summary and analysis of Ren Hongjun's science education idea can provide some useful lessens and inspiration for the formation and development of the current science education in China.This dissertation consists of five parts:The instruction part presents the research significance and the current situation, and briefly states the research methods.The first part of this dissertation gives a brief introduction to the formation and development of Ren Hongjun's science education in three periods.The second part discusses basic contents of Ren Hongjun's science education idea, such as connotation, values, characteristics, implementation measures of science education, and so on.The third part summarizes characteristics and impacts of Ren Hongjun's science education idea.Contacting with current situation of science education in China, the fourth part gives some enlightenment from Ren Hongjun's science education idea, such as to fully understand the connotation of science education, to improve teacher qualities in science, and to promote public science education in order to raise the quality of the entire national science education.
